When Should I Clean My Computerâ€™s Registry?

In actuality, you should run a registry scan whenever you come under the suspicion that your computer is getting sluggish or behaving strangely — unexpected errors, crashes, freezes, etc. And, if you’re a person who installs and uninstalls games and/or software regularly, then registry scans will definitely need to be upped to 2-3 times a week.

An important thing to remember during these frequent registry scans is that you need to always back-up your registry before you let the software do it’s thing.

Although most registry cleaners are typically flawless with their scans, sometimes mistakes are made and important registry files get deleted. If one of these “mistakes” is made and PC instability is the result, you can just use the previous configuration settings of your registry — the ones you were told to back before you used the software.
